FULL DESCRIPTION

The role involves supervising Care Assistants, creating care plans, carrying out risk assessments, and providing high-quality care to residents. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, empathy, and a passion for supporting residents' independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing personalised care plans and risk assessments.
  • Completing and monitoring medication administration record (MAR) sheets.
  • Documenting and monitoring daily care notes.
  • Supporting residents to attend appointments and engage in community activities.
  • Encouraging and fostering independence among our residents.
  • Overseeing medication administration and keeping accurate records.
  • Providing nutritional support, including meal preparation.
  • Performing household duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, oral care, and toileting.
  • Assisting with mobility needs using aids like hoists and standing aids as necessary.
  • Providing companionship to enhance the emotional well-being of our residents.
  • Safeguarding residents and maintaining their overall well-being.
  • Effectively communicating with colleagues, management, residents’ families, and third-party professionals.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the health and social care sector or a relevant qualification.
  • Ability to lead by example and foster a positive working environment.
  • A deep understanding and consideration for the needs and wishes of individuals in our care.
  • Passion for supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.
  • Willingness to undergo training and development.
  • Excellent people skills and strong communication abilities.
