Independence Support (ISL) provides specialist supported living in York, West Yorkshire, offering intensive, person-centred support to adults with Autism and Asperger’s. What You’ll Do
As a Support Worker at Portland Street, you’ll provide outcome-focused, person-centred support designed to promote independence and positive development. Your role will include:
- Medication support
- Teaching and encouraging life skills
- Assistance with daily routines and household tasks
- Supporting people to access the community and engage in meaningful activities
- Providing emotional support
- Supporting tenancy management
- Working closely with health and social care professionals
Your support helps each person build confidence, develop essential skills, and enjoy a fulfilling life.
Who We’re Looking For
We are recruiting for:
- Full-Time Support Workers – 37.5 hours
- Part-Time Support Workers – 23.5 hours
You must be able to work day and night shifts as part of a 7-day rota. A full induction and training package is provided.

- All roles require an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
