As the business continues to grow and evolve, the Finance function plays a critical role in ensuring robust financial control, regulatory compliance, and high-quality management information to support strategic decision-making.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing finance professional to join a dynamic and international finance team. The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in supporting the integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance team, the role offers broad exposure across core accounting processes, financial reporting, and stakeholder interaction — providing a strong foundation for further professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations across multiple entities, currencies, and jurisdictions
- Support the production of daily and monthly KPIs for operational and management reporting
- Process and post journals, including revenue, payroll, warranty income, and other financial transactions
- Maintain and post prepayments and accruals across multiple entities
- Manage and maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts (cash clearing, WIP, landed cost clearing, vehicle add-ons)
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements
- Monitor and reconcile daily cash movements across the Group
- Support audit processes and respond to auditor queries
- Provide cover for the purchase ledger and payroll processes
- Maintain finance processes and controls documentation
- Undertake ad hoc duties as required
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Studying towards or have completed AAT; progressing to ACCA/CIMA desirable
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate or above)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Proactive and team-oriented mindset
