Management Accountant

The opportunity has arisen for an ambitious assistant management accountant to join the [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Finance Team, based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This role will be to fully support the busy finance department in ensuring accurate and timely management accounts and line management of a small team.

The Role

The opportunity has arisen for an ambitious assistant management accountant to join the [Employer hidden] Finance Team, based in Trafford Park, Manchester. This role will be to fully support the busy finance department in ensuring accurate and timely management accounts and line management of a small team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly Group Management Accounts, including variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Preparation of monthly Board Pack submission to stakeholders
  • Support in the continuous improvement of month-end processes
  • Analysing and reporting cost drivers, margins, and profitability by product / channel / region
  • Providing commercial insight and recommendations to support decision-making
  • Business Partnering with Departmental Heads across the business, supporting with budget overheads and cost control
  • Support with stat accounts
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline finance processes
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Support on the annual financial audit

About You

  • CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience of at least 5 years finance/industry department
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with colleagues to ensure work is delivered on time
  • Results driven and detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support financial analysis, reporting, or process efficiency (Desirable)
