Senior Systems Accountant
Take the lead in configuring, integrating, and reporting on our finance systems, where strong financial controls and innovative use of technology are equally valued. As the senior accountant for key financial platforms, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial integrity and effective controls, while harnessing digital solutions to drive efficiency, enhance business activities, and deliver high-quality reporting.

What You'll Do
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Take ownership of allocated financial systems and lead on configuration, integration and financial reporting capability, working closely with IT, Data and Service delivery colleagues to continuously enhance the product platform and address issues. You’ll bring advanced knowledge and ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Provide financial system advise and supporting key change and transformation projects, working closely with different services to understand their needs and objectives, and support with delivering short term and medium-term benefits.
- Work closely with finance colleagues to ensure allocated finance systems support financial information and insight needs. Develop financial reports for budget monitoring, performance tracking, modelling, and data quality. Where required lead system changes to support enhanced reporting.
- Collaborate across Financial and Commercial Services to model and forecast, analyse comparative data, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
What You'll Bring
- Professional Expertise: CCAB or CIMA qualified, with significant post-qualification experience.
- Extensive Knowledge:Strong understanding of financial policy, practices, procedures, and relevant legislation, with the ability to interpret new regulations and adapt quickly to changes.
- Great Communicator: Able to explain complex financial information clearly to a wide range of audiences, including non-finance specialists – influencing, informing, and encouraging feedback along the way.
- Data Expertise: Experience working with large data sets and the ability to structure them effectively to support accurate reporting and deliver meaningful insights.
