Responsibilities include diary and inbox management, arranging meetings, handling sensitive information, and coordinating meetings. [Employer hidden] is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant/Executive Support Officer to join the executive support team within the Children, Education and Families Directors Office. This is a highly demanding role that requires providing comprehensive and confidential support to the Director and Deputy Directors of Children’s services and Education, ensuring they can perform their role with maximum efficiency.
About the Role
Personal Assistant/Executive Support Officer, 37 hours per week working within the Children, Education and Families Directors Office team. Providing high level support to the senior leaders within the directorate.
This is a permanent position.
Some of the work that you will be undertaking will be:
- Managing a busy diary and commitments
- Managing a busy inbox
- Arranging meetings and minuting where required
- Handling sensitive information and correspondance
- Coordinating large scale meetings and papers
About you
The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in MS Office, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The ability to work under pressure and meet unpredictable deadlines is essential. A degree or NVQ2 or higher in administration or PA qualification, or equivalent level of evidenced experience is required. Experience of working in the public sector and using Copilot for minute-taking and action notes would be advantageous.

The successful candidate should strive to enhance current practices and introduce innovative solutions, be alert to politically sensitive issues, and be proactive in bringing them to the attention of the director and deputy directors.
