Lecturer - Spoken Voice

Are you passionate about voice, vocal technique, and helping performers find their authentic sound? We’re looking for a Spoken Voice Lecturer to join our dynamic performing arts team at [Employer hidden], delivering high-quality, practice-based training to students across acting, actor-musician and musical theatre pathways.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the vocal development of emerging artists and support their preparation for sustainable careers on stage, screen, and in live performance. *Please note the rate of pay includes preparation time and holiday pay.

What You Will Do

  • Teach and support students in vocal technique, vocal health, and text work across a range of levels.
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based sessions that draw on your professional and/or performance background.
  • Support students in developing confidence, vocal range, and clarity in both spoken and sung voice (if applicable).
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support integrated training across disciplines.
  • Contribute to assessment and feedback processes, ensuring students are supported in their growth.
  • Keep up to date with current voice practices, pedagogy, and industry expectations.

About You

  • A strong background in voice teaching, vocal coaching, or performance.
  • Experience working with actors and/or singers in an educational or professional setting.
  • Knowledge of key vocal methodologies and practices (e.g. Linklater, Estill, Fitzmaurice, etc.).
  • Knowledge of teaching accents and dialects.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to working with students and colleagues.
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience is essential, a teaching qualification is desirable or a willingness to work towards one.
