Job description

A leading social first agency in London is looking for a Strategy Director (social first) who can steady the room, shape thinking, and lift the quality bar across some of their most important accounts. This is not a midweight stepping up. They need someone who has already operated at director level in social and can take charge from day one.

What you will lead

Cultural and client leadership
You will sit at the centre of social, culture, data, and business goals. You will bring clarity to complex situations, set direction, and help senior clients make better decisions. Your presence and judgement will matter as much as your decks.

Workshop ownership
You will design and run high level client workshops, from build to delivery. You need to turn insights into alignment, and alignment into a clear social strategy that senior stakeholders can rally around.

Strategic mentorship
You will be the sounding board for the team, ensuring every piece of strategic work is sharp, consistent, and grounded. You will guide planners and creatives, keep standards high, and help shape thinking across multiple workstreams.

Hands on strategic work
You will roll up your sleeves when needed. Expect cultural audits, competitive reviews, shaping briefs, defining measurement frameworks, and refining strategic direction for key brands.

Cultural intelligence and performance focus
Your work must sit firmly in culture and be backed by data. You should be able to spot what matters, explain why it matters, and link it to performance outcomes that partners can trust.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in a social first agency
  • Background as a Strategy Director or Head of Social
  • Proven experience leading and facilitating client workshops
  • Confidence navigating senior clients and complex dynamics
  • A steady hand, clear thinking, and the ability to guide others
