Job description

. [Employer hidden] are partnering with a renowned digital publisher to recruit for a Head of Social Production, to lead and scale their team across video, design, and social content. This is a senior leadership role with a strong operational focus, overseeing end to end production pipeline from pre-pro, workflows, shoots/filming, to editing and delivery across short-form video, social series and branded content. You will work closely with creative and commercial teams, to ensure high-quality, platform-native content is always delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the social video production team.
  • Lead all technical and logistical aspects of end to end production from scheduling, arranging equipment, shoot planning through to post-production workflows.
  • Manage a large team of editors, videographers, producers and freelancers, ensuring high-quality, engaging social content is delivered at all times.
  • Ensure all video output is platform-optimised (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat etc) and visually aligned to brand standards.
  • Monitor output quality and implement improvements in workflow, editing, and technical standards as required.
  • Champion new tools, templates, AI workflows and best-in-class production practices.
  • Oversee and manage budgets, timelines, and external supplier agreements.

Experience/skills required:

  • Solid experience working in a senior video production role, either in a social/digital agency or directly within publishing.
  • You must be extremely organised with proven success working in a leadership role and managing/developing teams.
  • Proven knowledge of end-to-end and production processes, including camera, lighting, sound, editing and file delivery.
  • Experience producing short-form content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and Snapchat.
  • A creative eye and understanding of how video drives audience growth on social platforms
  • Ability to lead multiple large projects and shoots simultaneously, with a calm, solutions-first mindset.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects etc) and modern editing workflows

Salary: £80,000-100,000 Start date: As soon as possible Office Location: South East London – 3 days per week in office
