Job description

A high-growth, digital-first consumer tech platform is looking for a Performance Marketing Director to build and scale its performance function during a major phase of growth.

The business is evolving into a more direct-to-consumer, app-led model, with significant investment behind customer acquisition and marketing transformation. Performance marketing is now a core growth lever, and this role will sit at the centre of that journey.

This is the first senior performance marketing hire, reporting into the executive leadership team, with full ownership of strategy, execution, and team build-out.

If you’ve scaled performance marketing in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and enjoy combining strategy with hands-on delivery, this is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the performance marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and growth
  • Lead execution across core paid channels including Google, Meta and app acquisition platforms
  • Establish clear measurement frameworks across attribution, incrementality and LTV
  • Manage agency partners while building the roadmap to bring performance in-house
  • Scale acquisition efficiently, balancing growth with strong unit economics
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Data, CRM and Marketing teams
  • Build and hire a high-performing in-house team as the function evolves
  • Implement structured testing frameworks across channels, creative and audiences
  • Explore and apply AI-driven approaches to improve performance and efficiency

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven track record scaling performance marketing in high-growth D2C, app-led, marketplace or subscription businesses
  • Deep hands-on expertise across paid channels (Google, Meta, app acquisition)
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience managing large budgets and driving profitable growth
  • Experience building or evolving performance marketing functions
  • Strong understanding of attribution, incrementality, LTV and unit economics
  • Confident communicator with experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience managing agencies and transitioning to in-house models

Why Apply?

  • First senior performance hire with full ownership and strategic influence
  • Direct exposure to executive leadership and business-critical decision making
  • Opportunity to build and scale a performance function from scratch
  • + many more benefits!
