FULL DESCRIPTION

Principal Electronics Engineer - £60k - £70k + Bonus - South Bedfordshire.

Requirements – Principal Electronics Engineer

- Recent and relevant experience workings as a Lead Electronics Design Engineer (Hardware and firmware)
- Strong Project management and project documentation skills.
- Skilled in Software development in C, ideally C# and Visual Basic as well
- Good Electronic design skills – Microcontroller integration (STM32, Microchip PIC, NORDIC), peripheral use/integration, analogue circuitry (including switched mode power supplies), appreciation of PCB layout (to brief/direct CAD bureau).
- Recent and relevant experience in Supervision, management, mentoring, support and evaluation of engineering staff.
- Appreciation of radio communication beneficial (IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth, various Industrial, Scientific and Medical [ISM] band long range communication modules)
- Skilled in the creation, management and review of project plans to ensure timely project delivery beneficial.
- Mechanical design skills beneficial – appreciation of materials and their respective benefits, production options, generation of CAD drawings, third party contractor brief/direction
