Compliance / Regulatory Engineer

Compliance / Regulatory Engineer - Location: Buckinghamshire. Salary: £30k - £50k (dep on exp) + excellent benefits.

A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Engineer to provide product compliance and regulatory support documentation for products sold across the European client base for this well-established global leading automation machinery company! They have a strong global presence and work with clients all over the world with their European and Asian sites. The Compliance / Regulatory Engineer will be to focus on monitoring EU directives and regulations (EMC, LVD, ATEX, PED, REACH, RoHS etc.) to ensure all products are up to the correct standards. A quality engineering background would be very beneficial as the Compliance/Regulatory Engineer will be involved within internal auditing for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards. This will be a highly collaborative role in which you will be working with engineers across the Buckinghamshire site, the European subsidiaries and even their Japan counterparts! The Compliance / Regulatory Engineer will ensure that all legislative requirements are met and product documentation such as Declarations of Conformity, Technical Files and Manuals are complete and up to date.

The Compliance / Regulatory Engineer will need the following:

  • A degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
  • Recent and relevant experience within a compliance/quality/regulatory role.
  • An understanding of CE marking
  • Experience of technical report writing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as you will be required to write detailed, technical reports and communicate clearly.
  • The ability to occasionally travel to Europe.
  • Some experience with standards or regulations
  • Internal auditor experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing company would be highly advantageous.
  • Cooperation with test houses or notified bodies would be extremely beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office
