Senior Supply Chain Specialist - 24 month FTC

For Aftersales this translates in the Procurement world to an emphasis on supplier development and effective negotiation with exceptional long-term and sustainable outcomes. As an Aftersales Senior Supply Chain Specialist, you will be part of a team responsible for the on time and stable supply of Aftersales parts to the [Employer hidden] Global Retailer Network, whislt supporting the development of a lean supply chain.
What You'll Do
- Responsible from an Aftersales Commodity Procurement perspective for various new Programmes from an end to end perspective. Role will principally oversee the Maverick & Ultimate programmes or will oversee the Shared Performance Programmes.
- Management of [Employer hidden] Development Programme Deliverables for Aftersales Commodity
- Implementing a strategy to secure the supply of Aftersales product through the complete vehicle lifecycle, with particular focus on the stage between end of model production through to end of model life
- Ongoing negotiation of Aftersales’ part and tool costs, optimising the commercial terms and conditions with suppliers to suit the needs of [Employer hidden]
- Negotiation of Aftersales commercial terms with the supply base for all new [Employer hidden] vehicles and models in support of project launch timescales
- Sourcing of components sold to Retailers and customers as Aftersales specific product
- Implement a supplier engagement process specific to Aftersales, ensuring that all necessary suppliers are actively managed and fully committed to meeting their [Employer hidden] Aftersales obligations
- Build relationships with both key internal and external stakeholders at a senior level, supporting all other accountabilities and ensuring that all Aftersales strategies match the overall [Employer hidden] business imperatives
- Ensure that all required master data needed to both procure parts from the supply chain, and to distribute through our global Retailers is accurate and captured in the system ahead of new product, model, or market launches.
What You'll Bring
Evidenced Procurement experience either from within the Automotive industry or from an indirect background.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; MCIPS qualification desirable.
- Proven experience in procurement within automotive or manufacturing.
- Strong commercial background and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing multi-national suppliers and delivering complex contracts.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and organizational skills.
- Results-driven, delivery-focused, and able to work autonomously.
- Familiar with the specific challenges associated with sourcing and managing an Aftersales supply chain
- Keen eye for developing & implementing a strategic approach to problem solving.
- IT skills, in particular MS Excel is essential. Experience using SAP would be an advantage
- Provide a high level of proactive and logical solutions to supply constraints for internal and external customers

- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
