FULL DESCRIPTION

Quality Engineer - Complex Analysis

The primary objective of this role is to lead the investigation of Complex Issues arising within the life cycle of [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Automotive’s products. The Complex Analysis team is a centre of excellence for problem solving and you will be working to understand, contain, and root cause complex issues across the breadth of the company and product.

What You'll Do

  • Utilise a range of Problem Solving tools to breakdown and define complex issues allocated to you.
  • Develop and implement containment actions to address the problem in short timeframes
  • Undertake 5-Why analysis of problems, utilizing experiments, analysis, and evidence to support your conclusions
  • Present progress updates and results to stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on problem solving techniques, providing coaching and reinforcing best practice across the business.
  • Step in to complex problems across the business to lead cross functional teams through the problem solving process

What You'll Bring

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Experience of undertaking structured problem solving, preferably in an engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Engineering degree background, preferably mechanical, automotive, or motorsport (or equivalent experience) 
  • Experience using CAD software and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Confident in complex Data Analysis using MS Excel and Power BI
  • Working knowledge of FMEA and Design for Manufacture would be advantageous
  • Experience of successfully working as part of a cross functional team
  • Confident in presenting work / feedback to both higher and lower levels in the company
  • An ability to challenge others and their conclusions constructively
