The Senior Advanced Concepts Designer (Apparel) Mission:

Advanced Concepts drives the exploration of new performance ideas and product directions that redefine what’s possible for Endura riders. This role suits an analytical yet imaginative thinker—someone who thrives at the intersection of creativity, technology and insight.

You will lead the design of new product concepts across both seasonal and innovation calendars, crafting breakthrough ideas through hands-on prototyping, material experimentation and cross-functional collaboration that turns insight into real-world innovation. You confidently shape new categories, silhouettes and construction techniques that reset the benchmark for performance on the bike.

How you'll drive success:

  • Driving forward-thinking product ideas that push the boundaries of performance apparel, using a research-led approach to translate athlete data, market trends and material science into clear product directions.
  • Providing design leadership and communicating complex technical concepts with clarity, building alignment and excitement around new product opportunities.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed proto requests and tech packs from concept initiation through fit approval and final confirmation and partnering with prototyping teams to build proof-of-concept samples that validate new ideas in real time.
  • Bringing deep technical understanding and curiosity around advanced materials, evolving textile technologies and intelligent construction methods.
  • Attending fit sessions with cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance on design refinements, construction improvements and product optimisation, always with the rider in mind.
  • Reviewing prototypes and samples at all stages, ensuring alignment to design intent, performance targets, sustainability goals and commercial requirements.
  • Collaborate with Design peers, Product Development and Sourcing to ensure technical feasibility, cost effectiveness and manufacturing accuracy.
  • Driving continuous improvement in tools, standards and ways of working to elevate innovation quality, accelerate learning and increase delivery speed.

What you'll need to thrive:

  • Significant experience (8+ years) in advanced design or garment technology within apparel, ideally performance, sport, outdoor or activewear, with expert understanding of construction, fit and manufacturing methods.
  • Deep empathy for riders and a sharp eye for unmet needs, translating on‑bike insights into meaningful product improvements.
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to translate creative ideas into precise, actionable specifications.
  • Proficiency in digital design tools and PLM systems; experience with 3D design is a strong advantage.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of influencing cross-functional teams and vendors in a fast-paced creation environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to product quality and consistency, and the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines while balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
  • Leads by example, mentoring junior designers and sharing craft knowledge and feedback, while championing innovation and best in class product experiences for riders.
  • Industry experience supported by a degree in Fashion/Apparel Design, Product Design or a related field.
  • Alignment with Pentland principles: consumer-first thinking, ownership, boldness, honesty, and doing the right thing.
