Publishing Marketing Assistant

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Publishing Marketing Assistant to work across its publishing division. The role involves planning and executing social media campaigns, creating engaging content, managing website updates, tracking digital marketing activity, and assisting with email campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a degree in marketing, excellent communication skills, and experience with digital marketing and/or content marketing.

General overview

This role will be working across [Employer hidden]’s Publishing division comprising of four publications (Grand Designs Magazine Online, Good Homes Magazine Online, ICON and OnOffice).

Grand Designs and Good Homes are popular home interest digital publications, featuring content across web, social media, and e-newsletters. ICON and OnOffice are both print and online.

Grand Designs Magazine

Grand Designs connects with an affluent home renovation audience, offering users expert advice on architecture, design, construction and interiors ideas, as well as partnering with the Grand Designs Live show.

Good Homes Magazine

With a history spanning over 25 years, Good Homes celebrates all things home and interiors, providing homeowners with inspiration for every room, as well as the latest shopping must-haves.

ICON

ICON is one of the world’s leading architecture and design magazines, published quarterly in print and sharing news daily online. We interview the most exciting architects and designers in the world, review the best new buildings and analyse the most innovative and influential design trends. The candidate

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic marketing assistant who is creative, personable and an organised person with excellent communication skills. They should also have the ability to deliver multiple projects on time and be motivated to hit KPIs. The ideal candidate will have a particular interest in digital marketing and/or content marketing, Experience using Canva, Adobe products such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel would be beneficial.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Plan and execute social media campaigns for each brand as well as exploring opportunities to help increase engagement and audience.
  • Work with the team to create engaging industry content and distribute via the website, email and social media channels, maintaining a distinct tone of voice for each brand.
  • Manage regular website updates, liaising with external suppliers to ensure content is of the highest quality, up to date and accurate.
  • Track and analyse the effectiveness of digital marketing activity, provide regular internal reports and make recommendations to improve results.
  • Assist in the creation of email campaigns, analyse and report results internally on a regular basis as well as make recommendations to improve results.
  • Assist in the creation of online stories and weekly newsletters for both ICON and OnOffice.

What you are good at

You’ll be a passionate marketer who is proactive and happy to think both creatively and outside of the box. As well as this you will be:

  • Degree educated in marketing or similar
  • Methodical, organised and analytical
  • Confident and communicative, able to use initiative
  • A team player with a sense of humour
  • A quick learner
  • Able to juggle multiple campaigns as well as prioritise urgent tasks
  • Writing capability, with an awareness of, and ability to adapt tone of voice for different channels and brands
  • Experienced in a similar role as an intern or part of a degree course (desirable)
  • Experienced using email service providers (we use Adestra) and web content management systems (desirable)
  • Experienced using Canva/Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)
  • Interested in design or home content (desirable)
