This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape standards, mentor colleagues and build on the practice’s strong community reputation.

The role
- Lead day-to-day clinical practice and set the tone for excellent medical and surgical standards - Coach, develop and line-manage RVNs; support student training and clinical governance - Build trusted client relationships, communicate clearly and make confident, evidence-based decisions - Oversee case continuity, rota planning and workflow alongside the Head Nurse - Contribute to audits, protocols and quality improvement across the practice and region
About you
- MRCVS with solid small-animal experience and a passion for leadership - Comfortable with routine surgery and medicine; confident managing more complex cases with referral support - Positive, collaborative communicator who enjoys developing others - Certificate holder or working towards a certificate (supported) is a plus
Rota & hours
- 3- 4 days (1in 3 Saturday morning weekend rota; no BH, no on call) - We’re open to discussing flexible options—tell us what works for you
