We are highly ambitious to continue to improve our provider services offer and ensure people that use our services have the best possible service to promote their independence, self-resilience and well-being.

This post is responsible to the Service Manager for Provider Services in Adults Social Care, and you will manage a team of staff based at the Southwark Resource Centre in Walworth.

The Southwark Resource Centre provides services for eligible residents to strengthen their own resources and support networks to empower them to develop their autonomy, wellbeing and contribute to society and have more control over their daily lives. The centre provides a universal offer of support, information and advice and there are visitors from the wider community as well as third sector providers and volunteers utilising the premises.

The service supports vulnerable adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, sensory needs, dementia and other age related conditions; embodying a person centered approach to enable all residents to reach their potential.

The role will need to promote safe, innovative and creative approaches to meeting the needs of both service users and visitors in line with best practice and quality assurance, alongside performance and budget management, and management oversight of resources and cases.

About you:

We are looking for an innovative and experienced leader with the drive, resilience and creativity to help lead a busy, fast-paced service within a high performing inner London borough.

You will have experience of managing others within a residential, day care environment or other comparable health and social care settings. You will have significant experience in your respective field, including experience t a leadership / line management level. You will have a genuine passion for the provision of high quality services for adults. A commitment to strengths based ways of working and being a practical thinker while keeping the person at the centre of our strategic vision. You will have awareness Social Care legislation including safeguarding adults.

You will have a good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements for staff, premises and council. You will have understanding of the application of the principles of Equality and Diversity and its practice.
