FULL DESCRIPTION
PLM System Engineer responsibilities include supporting customer applications, interfacing with end-users and software suppliers, performing software development, and conducting software integration and systems testing. Required qualifications include an Engineering or Computer Science degree with a flair for Computer Programming and a good understanding of Business Processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting customer applications like: PTC Windchill, ThingWorx, PTC Creo, & PLMc Apps etc
- Interface directly with end user/customer and external software suppliers
- Perform software development through design for requirements using various programming languages, libraries and file formats, programming tools
- Systems and software design, requirements management, systems specifications, validation and verification testing, and documentation for system and software requirements
- Conduct software integration and systems testing on target hardware
- Develop, implement, document, and review software for expected results
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering or Computer Science degree with a flair for Computer Programming
- Good understanding of Business Processes
- PTC Windchill, TeamCenter, Enovia, 3D-experience, Aras Innovator, etc.
- Good knowledge of Computer hardware, Networking & Cloud Infrastructure
Optional Qualifications and Skills:
- Java/ .NET Certificate
- Programming languages, technology and file formats include Java, JQuery, JavaScript, SQL and XML (including Xpath/Xquery), Object Oriented Programming, REST API, ODATA, SOAP, JSP, JSON and related IDE’s (NetBeans, Eclipse, MS-SQL, Oracle – SQL Plus)
- Configuration Management tools like GitHub, SourceSafe, SVN, PVCS
- CAD knowledge
