FULL DESCRIPTION

Volunteer Receptionist - Head Office

We are seeking Receptionists at our Head Office to welcome visitors and assist with various admin duties. This is a people-facing role; you may be the first interaction a visitor has with [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]. You will be a vital part of our Head Office operations, ensuring all visitors are treated according to our values.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing the highest standard of service to visitors
  • Ensure visitors are greeted in a warm and friendly manner and offered tea/coffee
  • Informing staff and volunteers that their visitor has arrived
  • Show visitors to the allocated meeting room
  • Support staff with any other work that can be undertaken from reception desk area e.g. admin relating to post, making calls, data input
  • Contributing to keeping the reception area tidy
  • Contributing to keeping meeting rooms organised, tidy, and ready for use
  • Providing support and guidance to new volunteers to help them settle into their roles
  • Promoting the public’s understanding of the work of [Employer hidden]

Your Skills and Abilities:

  • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • Enjoy working with the public
  • Good organisational skills
  • Able to use MS Office applications eg Word, Excel
  • Demonstrate and keen to develop good customer care skills

Am I eligible to volunteer?

  • At least 18 years old
  • Live within an easy commute to the area
  • Interested in volunteering for at least 6 months for at least 3 hours per week

All appointments are at the discretion of the management team and are subject to a one-month trial period for both parties.
