Job Summary
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], operating under contract for the TfGM Bee Network, is seeking a motivated and experienced Network Performance Team Leader to oversee and drive the performance of our depot operations in Manchester. This critical role is responsible for ensuring that route performance exceeds established standards, providing leadership to a team of performance supervisors, and working closely with other departments to deliver exceptional service across our network.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and manage a team of performance supervisors, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
- Set clear objectives and expectations for the team, monitoring day to day performance, and providing feedback to ensure high standards are met.
- Foster a positive and proactive team culture, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
- Oversee daily operations to ensure all routes meet or exceed performance standards, including punctuality, reliability, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Work closely with depot management, drivers, and other stakeholders to improve route performance and assist in addressing operational challenges.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure all performance metrics comply with TfGM Bee Network standards and contractual obligations.
- Maintain accurate records of performance data and team activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Be a point of contact for performance-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with TfGM Bee Network representatives to align performance strategies with broader network objectives.
- Participate in meetings with TfGM, providing insights and recommendations to improve network performance.
Incident & Issue Management:
- Understand and influence responses to any operational incidents affecting route performance, coordinating with relevant teams to minimise disruption and restore service quality.
- Investigate performance issues, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Continuous Improvement:
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance route performance.
- Keep up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that could impact network performance.
Engagement:
- Champion and support rapport building with drivers and a culture of supporting frontline services.

Essential Criteria
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a network performance environment. • Strong knowledge of route performance metrics. • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization. • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Criteria
• Experience working within the TfGM Bee Network or similar regulated public transportation systems. • Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and software. • Understanding of Manchester’s transport network and local challenges.

- Organisational skills Highly organised, motivated and able to manage and own prioritise workload effectively and work to strict deadlines.
- Stakeholder Management – Must be able to demonstrate credibility to build professional relationships with both employees and managers, an d external stakeholders including the Trade Unions.
- Colleague Development – Must be a team player and willing to develop others to increase team and individual performance.
Hours of Work
Pay: 45,000
Basic 38 hours per week.
Flexibility required for hours/days worked (including weekends) in line with operational requirements.
