8.00am and 8.00pm covering 3 days per week Monday to Saturday

This role is based at our Shrewsbury clinic. You'll be joining a well-established, experienced team dedicated to delivering the latest treatments and services. Our clinic combines cutting-edge technology with a calm, welcoming environment to treat a wide range of skin conditions-ensuring every patient enjoys a seamless, high-quality experience.
How you'll help us make health happen
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will support treatments, assist with clinical procedures, and provide aftercare instructions to patients. Your responsibilities will include setting up sterile fields, managing stock and equipment, and ensuring the clinical area is prepared for procedures. You will also play a key role in infection prevention and control, maintaining patient confidentiality, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
In addition to clinical duties, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and caring environment for patients, ensuring their journey is seamless and of the highest standard. This includes meeting and greeting patients, assisting during consultations, and promoting high standards of clinical care.
Duties:
- Supporting our consultant dermatologists with consultations and surgical assistance in theatre (MOHS, Mole/lesion excisions, biopsies, and shaves)
- Venesection
- Wound checks, dressing change, and stitch removal post-surgery
- Maintaining infection control standards in line with CQC
- Daily clinic checks
- Maintaining stock
- Promoting high standards of clinical care to our patients across the board
- Ensuring clinical audits, policies, procedures, and medical governance standards
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (essential)
- Good work ethic and hardworking
- A real passion for patient care and delivering
- A good understanding of CQC policies relating to a clinical environment
- Good communicator and team player
