Shop/Cafe Supervisor

£13.10 per hour
Permanent 30 hrs per week
Shift pattern start 9am - finish 5pm, Shift working 4 days out of 7 days with alternate weekends
Shop/Cafe Supervisor
Taking on a proactive, customer‑focused role as our Shop/Café Supervisor, where you'll oversee day‑to‑day operations, lead and support your team, and ensure consistently high service standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for hospitality. Experience in cafés or small retail settings is beneficial, and some food preparation will be part of the role.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.
- Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and minimize waste.
- Oversee cash handling, reconcile daily takings, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
- Support promotional activities and contribute to sales growth.
- Barista training or experience in coffee preparation.
- Food Safety Level 2 certification.
