As our Actuarial Pricing Analyst, you'll play a vital role in supporting the development of new products and benefit features and support the pricing of any relevant new product or benefit changes.
How you'll help us make health happen
The Pricing Analyst is a key role supporting both [Employer hidden]'s UK Insurance and [Employer hidden] Global business units. You will be part of the pricing projects team, responsible for providing pricing support to a wide variety of projects across the business.
This includes our flagship pricing project - that seeks to deliver a pricing revolution by developing cutting-edge predictive models and implementing a new Rating Engine to support our pricing ambitions. You will help develop innovative ways of pricing and provide analytical insight that will help [Employer hidden] achieve its goals.
The pricing team is responsible for developing and delivering the pricing strategy in support of [Employer hidden]'s strategic goals. Tasks that you will be required to carry out include:
- Working closely with colleagues in other teams such as Sales, Finance, Product & Proposition, IT, Clinical Policy and Healthcare Analytics on a range of projects and initiatives.
- Extracting, refining, and enriching data
- Developing predictive models
- Researching new modelling techniques
- Advanced analytics of customer behaviour, customer risk and model performance
- Modelling and assessing the impact of new pricing strategies
- Competitor pricing analysis
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role
The role holder is expected to have the following experience and qualification/s:
- Previous pricing experience in Health or GI markets
- Radar experience is ideal. SAS, Python and Emblem knowledge
- Strong numerical and analytical skills demonstrated through previous experience.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information and ensure it is understood by various stakeholders
- Adaptability to handle a wide variety of different projects and prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- A good understanding of Machine Learning techniques in the insurance market would also be beneficial.
