Salary: £29,565 – £43,562 per annum (Subject to progression criteria*)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week (864 teaching hours per annum)

Annual Leave: 45 days per annum plus bank holidays

About the Role

We are seeking an innovative, passionate and committed Lecturer in Nursing & Midwifery to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the next generation of Nursing and Midwifery professionals through the delivery of high‑quality T Level teaching and outstanding learning experiences.  You will bring strong subject knowledge, current industry insight, and a commitment to excellent teaching that supports learner success. Working within a supportive and forward‑thinking department, you will help shape curriculum delivery, contribute to continuous improvement, and ensure our learners gain the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours needed for progression into employment or further study.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality, engaging teaching across T Levels in Nursing & Midwifery.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports learner progress.
  • Use assessment and feedback effectively to monitor learning and drive achievement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow all College policies, including safeguarding.
  • Participate in key College activities such as recruitment events and enrolment.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher, or willing to work towards a teaching qualification.
  • Relevant nursing or midwifery‑related degree (or equivalent).
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).

Experience

  • Relevant professional/industrial experience in Nursing and/or Midwifery (desirable).
  • Knowledge and/or experience of teaching within Nursing, Midwifery or related subject areas (desirable).
  • Understanding of sector issues impacting curriculum delivery.
  • Knowledge of career pathways and opportunities within the health sector.

Skills

  • Ability to share and disseminate good practice effectively.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to create high‑quality teaching and learning materials, including digital resources.
