About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to build our trade and partnerships function at [Employer hidden] working closely with the CEO and commercial team. You will be responsible for targeting, acquiring and engaging with trade customers to generate sales. Your customers will be commercial clients that will include painting & decorating contractors, interior designers, builders, developers and landlords. Your primary objective will be to drive revenue for the business whilst building the platform to scale this side of the business.
Relationship building with larger end users is key to ensure [Employer hidden] is given access to development projects and retain new and existing clients. There will be a requirement to visit customers to build relationships.
You will work cross-functionally across the business to utilise our data, brand and marketing, tech, operations and commercial teams to support your objectives.
Responsibilities
What you will be doing:
- Set targets and KPIs and work to achieve those targets both by period and annually.
- Work with teams across the business to achieve your objectives.
- Identify segments of the market to target.
- Identify key customers and acquire these customers, testing and optimising different strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and convert those customers to choosing [Employer hidden] for their projects.
- Working collaboratively with the Director of Interior Design to support driving sales with interior designers and architects.
- Conduct product, application, and sales training and development sessions with all relevant customers.
- Support customers throughout their journey ensuring best in class service driving retention.
- Building the function with the goal to grow this area of the business thinking about how each part of the customer journey can be scaled.
- Maintain an appropriate weekly Trade customer call rate and maintain a call record of all contacts and sales calls.
What we are looking for:
- Professional sales experience with a track record of acquiring and converting customers.
- Experience and ability to build relationships with customers.
- Experience in sales and trade customer service.
- Strong organisational & communication skills and experience presenting to groups of employees.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own transport.
Commercial skills and ability to create and present a solution proposition to contractors and larger end users.
Ability to work independently with autonomy and cross-functionally in a business.
Entrepreneurial and growth mindset with a hunger to learn and develop with drive and determination to succeed.
An analytic mindset with a desire to test and learn using data and a keen interest in AI.
Experience in sales with large customers, this could be in account management or business development.
