Role Summary

At [Employer hidden], the Midweight Packaging Designer will create design-leading packaging that complements our stationery products and is aligned with the brands’ standards & requirements.

Taking full responsibility for your projects both creatively and operationally, you’ll showcase strong skills in packaging and graphic design. You will research and conceptualise new designs for our various sales channels, taking the lead on rolling out precise packaging artwork for various projects while ensuring consistency across the entire [Employer hidden] range. You’ll follow each project through the product development phase, ensuring the brand’s quality standards are met at every stage.

Working closely with the Lead Packaging Designer, you will make an essential contribution towards [Employer hidden]’s visual identity that will transform [Employer hidden] into a global stationery lifestyle brand.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in packaging design/development, ideally within stationery, lifestyle, or homeware categories.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop); 3D rendering or CAD experience is a plus.
  • Excellent rendering skills as well as the ability to create mockups
  • A keen eye for detail to help create accurate technical drawings, artwork & specs
  • Confident conducting trend and market research to inform design decisions.
  • A strong understanding of the product development process from concept through to production, with hands-on experience & awareness of materials, manufacturing techniques, and commercial constraints.
  • Experience reviewing samples for accuracy, design intent, and quality.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with sourcing teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organised, able to manage timelines and juggle multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and curious, with a desire to learn and push creative boundaries within a commercial framework.
  • Work with the Lead Packaging Designer to create innovative, design-led packaging across multiple concurrent projects
  • Research trends and materials to inform fresh, forward-thinking packaging concepts aligned with our brand strategy
  • Translate concepts into high-quality, production-ready packaging designs
  • Present ideas confidently, communicating design thinking clearly to internal stakeholders
  • Own the rollout of all packaging artwork, ensuring accuracy, version control, and print-ready delivery
  • Maintain consistency across all packaging touchpoints in line with [Employer hidden]’s brand identity and quality standards
  • Create compelling visualisations, including 3D renders, to bring packaging concepts to life
  • Manage project timelines proactively, balancing multiple priorities and flagging risks where needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Brand, Ops, and Sourcing teams, as well as external suppliers
  • Apply strong knowledge of print processes and materials to develop functional, sustainable packaging solutions
  • Ensure all specifications meet regulatory, production, and sustainability requirements
  • Help to continuously refine our processes by identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
