With a strong pipeline of secured work, including a £6m project in South Wales, we are expanding our regional delivery capability and looking for experienced Site Supervisors / Site Managers to support this growth.

This is a key hire to strengthen our on the ground delivery and reduce reliance on agency labour, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, site-led environment.

SCOPE OF ROLE

As a Site Supervisor / Site Manager, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day site operations across HV cabling and associated civil works.

You’ll ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly, and efficiently, managing teams, coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining high standards across all aspects of site delivery.

This is a site-first role, suited to someone with strong practical experience who can confidently run operations on live projects.

HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED

  • Oversee daily site activities across HV cabling and civil works
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality

Compliance & Documentation

Maintain accurate site records including:

  • Site diaries
  • ITPs
  • Quality Control Sheets (QCS)

Ensure compliance with:

  • NRSWA / streetworks requirements
  • Permit and noticing systems
  • CDM regulations

Streetworks & Traffic Management

  • Coordinate traffic management and SLG (signing, lighting & guarding)
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with streetworks legislation
  • Maintain safe excavation practices in accordance with HSG47

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with local authorities, third parties and the general public
  • Manage on-site issues professionally and efficiently
  • Act as a strong on-site representative for [Employer hidden]

Health, Safety & Quality

  • Deliver site safety briefings and ensure RAMS adherence
  • Promote a strong safety culture and encourage near-miss reporting
  • Monitor site standards and ensure compliance at all times

Reporting & Communication

  • Report site progress, risks and issues to management
  • Support effective communication between site and project teams

WHAT IT TAKES

✅ Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in HV cabling projects (11kV–132kV)
  • Strong background in:
  • Cable laying
  • Joint bays
  • Associated civils works
  • Solid streetworks experience (non-negotiable)
  • Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
  • Strong understanding of:
  • NRSWA
  • Traffic management
  • Permit systems
  • Hands-on, site-based experience (not purely office-based)

Qualifications

Essential:

  • NRSWA (Streetworks Supervisor)
  • SMSTS

Desirable:

  • CSCS Gold or Black Card
  • First Aid
  • Additional site competencies
