Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Handle a diverse caseload of disputes with an emphasis on property related matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients.

  • Manage their own caseload as well as and supporting partners on larger disputes.
  • Have a client facing role, develop their professional skills and assist in the team’s, and develop their, own business development and marketing strategies.
  • Independently manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters including landlord and tenant disputes, boundary disputes, lease renewals, and property damage claims and some general commercial litigation disputes.
  • Assist partners and senior solicitors on high value/complex disputes and collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in court, tribunals, and mediation.
  • Conduct legal research, stay updated on relevant property law developments, produce articles and blogs and provide internal and external training.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records and manage compliance and cashflow on files.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Qualified Solicitor with circa 3-6 years PQE (though we will consider outstanding candidates outside of this).
  • Exposure to a variety of disputes, including property related matters, gained within a leading practice.
  • Strong knowledge of property law and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and work under pressure.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate, with strong drafting skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and use of legal databases.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and a strong team ethic.
  • Ambitious mindset and a keen interest in business development.
