Job Introduction
We’re looking for people with experience in social care or health commissioning to join us as Commissioning Officers, in our Older People Service area.
You’d be part of a busy team who is responsible for all care and health commissioning and who also takes the lead on some procurement as well as managing contracts.
We work closely with health and social care colleagues to ensure they get a seamless service so they can focus on the job of providing care and equipment.
We offer flexible working arrangements including home working with the requirement to come into our city centre office at least once a week.
Main Responsibility
- Working as part of the older people Commissioning team, you’ll support the commissioning activities relating to older people services including Care Homes and Home Care.
- You’ll support services and projects that might cut across all ages including, Community equipment, Care Technology, Dementia and Carers among others.
The Ideal Candidate
- Educated to degree level or has level 5 wellbeing qualification or demonstrable experience in social care or health commissioning.
- Experience of coproducing and developing in partnership with service users, carers, and other stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project management and delivery of project in pressured environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good analytical skills.
- Highly organised and able to take ownership
