Litigation Solicitor

The role involves advocacy, legal research, and providing advice to clients. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with relevant experience.

From contracts and procurement to child protection, from major development projects to criminal prosecution, the team aim to provide clear, high quality and pragmatic advice to professional clients.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking individual to join the Litigation team as a Solicitor/Barrister to undertake a mixed caseload of civil and prosecution matters.
Main Responsibility
- Undertake a mixed caseload of civil and prosecution matters including Closure Orders, Fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles, housing possession cases
- Undertake advocacy at the Magistrates and/or County Court
- Research complex areas of law and present them in clear and understandable terms to clients
- Identify and evaluate risks systematically, communicating information to enable appropriate and timely action
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (Supreme Court of England and Wales/English Bar), or Fellow of the institute of Legal Executives or equivalent relevant qualification with relevant experience
- Experience of advocacy at either the Magistrates Court and/or County Court and a willingness to attend court hearings in person, as and when required
- Experience of preparing court papers for prosecution and/or civil proceedings
- A team player who is able to work collaboratively to achieve shared goals
