Manufacturing Operative - Birtley
Permanent | £33,109.44 - £35,016 | Rotating Shifts
We are recruiting a Manufacturing Operative to join an established manufacturing business in Birtley.
This role suits someone who is detail-focused, process-driven and confident working within structured production standards. It is not a basic assembly role - accuracy and consistency are essential.
Salary
- £32,867.72 training rate
- Up to £35,016.70 including shift allowance
Shift Pattern
Three shift rotation:
- 6:00am - 2:00pm, Monday to Friday
- 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Monday to Friday
- 10:00pm - 6:00am, Sunday to Thursday
- Saturday required one in every three weeks when on the 6:00am–2:00pm shift
The Role - Manufacturing Operative
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing materials accurately for production
- Following detailed SOPs and ensuring correct product quantities
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Completing in-process quality checks
- Working to daily output targets
- Manually handling materials (role requires physical fitness)
Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions are critical in this role.
Essential Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working to targets and quality standards
- Ability to follow structured processes accurately
Desirable Experience
- Fork Lift Truck experience advantageous
