We are currently recruiting Machine Operator on behalf of our client based in the Stanley area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business with the potential for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

Machine Operator

Location: Stanley Hours: Monday to Friday - Rotating Shifts (6:00am–2:00pm / 2:00pm–10:00pm) Job Type: Full Time - Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

We are currently recruiting Machine Operator on behalf of our client based in the Stanley area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business with the potential for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

This role is ideal for candidates with machine operating or production experience, although training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating machinery in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and customer specifications
  • Monitoring machine performance and taking action to resolve basic operational issues
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the shift to ensure product standards are maintained
  • Palletising, wrapping and preparing finished goods for dispatch
  • Performing manual handling duties when required
  • Keeping work areas clean, organised and free from damaged goods
  • Supporting with general production and housekeeping tasks
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

  • Previous machine operative, production operative or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to work rotating shifts Monday to Friday
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • FLT Counterbalance licence highly desirable, but not essential
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
