Technical Lead – CMS

Our client is an award-winning top 100 Digital Agency, who use the very best technologies to deliver innovations to their enterprise-level clients. They are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Lead with expertise in Enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS), specifically Kentico, Sitecore, Umbraco and Headless CMS to drive the technical direction, architecture and implement strategies for CMS projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of developers, providing technical guidance, support, and expertise.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, to define technical requirements and project milestones.
  • Driving the technical direction, architecture, and implementation strategies for CMS projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines throughout the development process.
  • Developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using modern web technologies.
  • Implementing CMS solutions, integrating front-end frameworks with back-end CMS platforms.
  • Designing and developing APIs, Microservices, and other server-side components to support headless architectures.
  • Collaborating with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between the presentation layer and the CMS.
  • Demonstrating strong proficiency in decoupled CMS platforms, specifically Kentico, Sitecore, or Umbraco.
  • Staying up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in web development, decoupled architectures, and CMS technologies.
  • Providing technical guidance and recommendations for selecting the most appropriate CMS platform based on project requirements.

The ideal candidate will hold proven experience as a Lead Full Stack Engineer or Developer, with focus on Enterprise CMS solutions, including Kentico, Drupal and Sitecore. They must also hold strong background in developing web applications using modern front end and back-end technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular, Vue.Js and server-side technologies such as Node.JS, .Net or Java. They will hold a good level of gravitas and be used to leading and mentoring technical teams, as well as the ability to manage stakeholders and project teams.
