Multiple Opportunities: Data Cabling Engineers (All Levels)

Location: Kettering / Midlands (UK-wide travel required)

[Employer hidden] Ltd is a growing network cabling contractor delivering structured cabling solutions across warehouse, industrial and commercial environments.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting across multiple roles, from junior engineers through to experienced senior engineers, on both PAYE and self-employed bases.

1. Junior Data Cabling Engineer 20-30k (depending on age & experience)

2. Data Cabling Engineer 35k

3. Senior Data Cabling Engineer / Lead Engineer 40-45k (depending on age & experience)

1. Junior Engineer

Ideal for someone starting out or with limited experience.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting with cabling installations
• Learning termination and testing
• Supporting senior engineers on-site
• Maintaining tools, materials, and site organisation

What we’re looking for:

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Basic understanding of tools and site work
• Reliable and punctual (non-negotiable)

2. Engineer

Ideal for engineers with hands-on experience in structured cabling.

Key responsibilities:

• Installation of Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a systems
• Termination and testing (Fluke experience preferred)
• Containment installation (tray, basket, conduit)
• Cabinet installs and patching
• Working at height using access equipment

3. Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer

For experienced engineers who can run jobs and lead teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing engineers on-site
• Delivering projects to spec and programme
• Quality control and testing sign-off
• Liaising with clients and project managers
• Fault finding and problem solving under pressure

General Requirements (All Roles)

• Experience in structured cabling (level dependent on role)
• High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Preferred (not essential):

• ECS / CSCS Card / SSSTS
• IPAF / PASMA
• City & Guilds or equivalent
• Fibre experience (splicing/testing advantageous)

Other:

• A full UK driving licence is required. Applicants should have no more than 6 points
• Willingness to travel and stay away when required
• Ability to pass DBS / site security clearance
