Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst (BA) with a strong background in Agile delivery, DevOps practices, fibre networking and Operational Technology (OT) environments. The successful candidate will play a key role within the operations function, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to drive efficient, high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across sales, operations, managed & professional services, software development and product teams to gather and define requirements
- Translate business needs into well-structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Work closely with customers, department heads, project managers and developers within an Agile/Scrum framework
- Facilitate Agile processes such as backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives
- Document as-is and to-be processes
- Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements through development, testing and delivery
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validation activities
- Act as a key liaison between operations, network engineering, and software development teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the operations function
Required Skills & Experience
Core BA Skills
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst in complex, technical environments
- Strong experience writing user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria
- Skilled in requirements elicitation techniques (workshops, interviews, process mapping)
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
Agile & Delivery
- Demonstrable experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Support in the implementation of Agile ways of working
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
- Experience with fibre optic network infrastructure and delivery
- Ability to engage with and interpret input from network engineering teams
- Ability to interpret network engineering diagrams and translate into clear requirements
Operational Technology (OT)
- Exposure to OT environments
- Experience in security solutions
Desirable Skills
- Experience in fibre, utilities and infrastructure sectors
- Knowledge of provisioning, monitoring and network management systems
- Exposure to API integrations and data modelling
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, Agile BA, Scrum certifications)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively within cross-functional operational teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, adaptable and delivery-focused
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
