FULL DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the company’s M&A strategy aligned with overall business objectives
- Proactively originate acquisition opportunities through market research, networking, and direct outreach
- Build and maintain a robust acquisition pipeline
- Assess strategic fit, synergies, and value creation potential of targets
Deal Execution & Transaction Management
- Lead end-to-end deal execution, including:
- Target evaluation and valuation
- Commercial, financial, operational, and strategic due diligence
- Deal structuring and negotiation
- Act as the internal deal quarterback, coordinating legal, financial, tax, and technical advisers
- Prepare and present investment cases to senior leadership and the Board
- Manage transaction timelines, risks, and decision-making processes
Post-Acquisition Integration (Critical)
- Take direct responsibility for post-merger integration
- Design and lead Day-1, Day-30, and Day-100 integration plans
- Work closely with functional leaders (Finance, Operations, Product, Technology, HR, Sales) to:
- Integrate systems, processes, and teams
- Capture synergies and manage costs
- Ensure cultural alignment and change management
- Track and report on value creation, synergy realisation, and integration KPIs
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Act as a trusted partner to the CEO, CFO, and leadership team
- Engage effectively with founders, management teams, investors, and external partners
- Establish M&A governance, playbooks, and repeatable processes
- Continuously improve the company’s M&A capability and execution maturity
Requirements
- 8–15+ years’ experience in M&A / Corporate Development
- Proven experience leading full-cycle M&A, including post-deal integration
- Strong understanding of: Valuation methodologies, Deal structuring, Due diligence processes
- Experience working with UK-based and cross-border transactions
- Demonstrated ability to operate hands-on in a lean environment
