Night Senior Carer

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Night Senior Carer to join our friendly and supportive team in Westcliff on Sea. As a Senior Carer, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standard of care is provided to our residents throughout the night, promoting their dignity, independence, and wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the night shift, ensuring all care staff deliver person-centred support in line with individual care plans
  • Assist residents with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Administer medication in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular checks on residents and respond promptly to any emergencies or changes in their condition
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and handover notes
  • Work closely with families and external professionals, ensuring clear and compassionate communication
  • Night cleaning duties are completed with a good standard of IPC.

About You

  • Previous experience in a senior care assistant or similar role is essential
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care
  • Willingness to work permanent night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays

Shift Times and Days

The shift commences at 19:00 and concludes at 07:15. All shifts operate on a rotational basis; however, we ensure regular scheduling for every other weekend.
