Performance Marketing Designer

We are Mous. (Pronounced mouse, not moose.) People deserve tech and lifestyle products that are fit for purpose, perform as promised, and empower them to be their best. That’s why we’re building the go-to brand for products that genuinely deliver.

For over 10 years, we’ve pushed product performance to its limits, designing from first principles, validating through real-world testing, and investing millions in R&D. In parallel, we’ve built world-class in-house marketing capabilities, creating highly engaging, performance-led content that proves what our products can do and resonates with a passionate, fast-growing community around the brand.

From throwing phones off dams to launching category-defining products, our ambition is simple: raise the standard of the industry and build one of the most effective consumer brands in the world.

This role sits at the intersection of creativity, data, and commercial impact. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just make things look good but makes them work and thinks commercially. At Mous, design is one of our biggest growth levers. Our ads are watched by millions. Our launches set benchmarks. Creative decisions here directly impact revenue.

One important thing to know: paid stills are a growing focus for us. Historically, this area hasn’t had the attention it deserves, which means the opportunity here is big. The right person won’t just execute; they’ll help build the foundation, define what great looks like, and shape how paid stills scale across the business.

This role is for a designer with a marketer’s mindset. Someone who wants to own performance, understand why something converts, and grow into a future leader shaping how creative is built and scaled across the business.

If you enjoy testing ideas, learning from results, and pushing each iteration further than the last, this role was built for you.

As a Performance Marketing Designer at Mous, you’ll work closely with our Growth and Content teams to build creative that directly impacts performance. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, with real ownership and clear feedback loops tied to results.

You’re a fast-moving, commercially and analytically minded designer with a marketer’s instinct. You enjoy testing, iterating, and improving creative based on real performance data, not opinions. You’re comfortable working at pace, handling volume, and being accountable for outcomes.

You’re curious about brands, advertising, and social platforms, and motivated by making a measurable impact. You enjoy experimenting, learning from results, and constantly raising the bar.

You’ll design high-impact creative across paid and growth channels, with real context, fast feedback loops, and genuine ownership.

  • Design static and motion-led assets for paid social and performance campaigns.
  • Help establish the creative foundation for paid stills, setting standards, systems, and best practices
  • Translate performance insights into stronger creative, understanding what worked, what didn’t, and why
  • Iterate quickly, test often, and improve concepts based on real data, not opinions
  • Design with a commercial and analytical mindset, understanding how creative decisions influence performance metrics and revenue outcomes
  • Work closely with the Growth team, Content Production, and Strategists to build and scale winning ad systems
  • Balance speed and quality across multiple live campaigns without sacrificing craft
  • Proactively spot creative opportunities and push ideas forward before being asked

This is a role for someone who wants to learn how brands grow, not just how assets are made.

Success in this role will be measured by impact, not just output.

You’ll be successful if you:

  • Consistently deliver high-performing creative that improves key paid metrics such as CTR, CVR, and CPA
  • Show clear learning and improvement over time by using performance data to inform creative decisions
  • Build a strong, scalable foundation for paid stills, setting standards and best practices that raise overall creative quality
  • Contribute ideas that unlock new angles, formats, or systems that can be tested and scaled
  • Work effectively with Growth and Content teams to move faster and improve creative testing velocity
  • Take ownership, communicate clearly, and are accountable for results, not just delivery

This role rewards curiosity, experimentation, and commercial thinking. Progress will be visible through performance, learning, and the strength of the creative systems you help build.

Hard Skills:

  • Strong design fundamentals across layout, typography, hierarchy, and visual storytelling
  • Confident using Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience designing assets for performance contexts such as paid social and growth campaigns
  • 1-5 years of professional design experience, in-house, agency, or D2C
  • Commercial and analytical mindset, with a clear understanding that design exists to drive outcomes, not just aesthetics
  • Comfortable using performance data to inform creative decisions and iteration
  • Curious about what converts, why it converts, and how creative impacts key metrics
  • Thinks in systems, patterns, and scalability, not just one-off assets

Soft Skills:

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple live campaigns and shifting priorities
  • Proactive and autonomous, comfortable taking ownership and being accountable for outcomes
  • Confident working with ambiguity and making informed creative decisions without perfect information
  • Collaborative but willing to challenge ideas constructively in pursuit of better results
  • Clear, thoughtful communicator who can explain creative thinking, trade-offs, and decisions

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience designing paid ads or growth creative at scale
  • Familiarity with D2C brands, ecommerce, or performance-led teams
  • Interest in leadership, mentoring, or shaping creative direction over time
