About the Role
Lead the Digital Revolution in Local Government
As Director of Essex Digital Service, you will shape and execute [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]’s ambitious digital strategy, driving transformation across all council services. You will be the digital ambassador for the council, fostering innovation and championing human-centred design. Your role will ensure high-quality, accessible, and scalable digital solutions that improve the lives of residents, businesses, and employees. Additionally, you will build a sector-leading team, driving collaboration and creativity to solve complex challenges.
What You’ll Oversee
You will manage a £35–40m investment programme to modernise Essex’s digital landscape, including high-profile AI pilot schemes such as transcription services and digital front doors for residents. Your oversight will extend to transformational programmes like the Whole Council Transformation Strategy and Social Care Platform modernisation.
