Job description
As an IT Technician at SnasIT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end-users, and contributing to the overall efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for technology and a strong problem-solving mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems reported by users and escalate issues as needed.
Hardware and Software Maintenance:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and security of IT systems.
User Training:
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of IT systems and tools.
- Create user guides and documentation to facilitate self-help.
Network Support:
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the company’s network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement network security measures.
IT Security:
- Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures.
- Monitor for security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of necessary IT equipment.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to design and implement IT solutions that align with business needs.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:
- Associate degree or relevant certifications in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and IT security.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Customer-focused with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with help desk software and remote assistance tools.
