The role involves contract negotiation, compliance, intellectual property management, dispute resolution, data privacy oversight, corporate governance assistance, and legal research. Candidates should have an LLB (Hons') & LLM and 2 years of experience.

Job Description:

As a Legal Counsel at [Employer hidden] Limited, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company operates within the bounds of the law and navigates complex legal issues with confidence. You will work closely with our executive team and various departments to provide legal counsel and support on a wide range of matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Negotiation and Drafting: Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including client agreements, vendor contracts, and partnerships, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the IT industry, mitigating risks through proactive measures.
  • Intellectual Property: Protect and manage the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes and litigation matters, including managing external legal counsel when necessary, and exploring alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Data Privacy: Oversee data protection and privacy matters, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and best practices.
  • Corporate Governance: Assist in matters related to corporate governance, including board meetings, minutes, and corporate record-keeping.
  • Legal Research: Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations, and provide proactive legal guidance to the company.

Qualifications:

  • LLB (Hons') & LLM
  • 2 years of experience as a practicing lawyer, preferably with experience in the IT industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IT and technology-related legal issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
