Location: Brantwood Hall, 14 North Avenue, Wakefield, WF1 3RX Salary: £13.50 per hour

Hours:44 Hours Per Week (Days, Nights and alternate Weekends)

Your Role:

As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within our local care home. Providing direct caregiving with supervisory responsibilities, you will ensure that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • · Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
  • · Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents.
  • · Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
  • · Monitoring residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
  • · Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.
  • · Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • · Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
  • · NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
  • · Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • · A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
  • · Ability to develop and mentor others
