FULL DESCRIPTION

NHS Community Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist

Location: Redbridge, London, UK

Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (Pro-rata)

Contract: Substantive

Hours: Full-time (10 Programmed Activities; DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5)

On-call: Frequency 1:14, Category A - 3% on-call supplement

Qualifications Needed

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility
  • Inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Main Responsibilities

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs in Redbridge
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
  • Work directly with young people and families, liaising with external CAMHS providers and acute hospitals
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1:14 frequency) with a 3% on-call supplement
  • Collaborate with team members, allowing for initiative while supporting colleagues
  • Actively engage with health and social professionals and agencies
