NHS Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking to place a qualified Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist for an exciting opportunity in Barking & Dagenham.

Position Details:

  • Role: Community CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist
  • Location: Barking & Dagenham, London, UK
  • Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (Pro-rata)
  • Contract: Substantive
  • Hours: Full-time, 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5)
  • On-call: Frequency 1:13, Category A - 3% on-call supplement

Qualifications Required:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs across Barking and Dagenham.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Work directly with children and young people and their families.
  • Liaise with external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, currently 1:13 frequency, with a 3% Category A on-call supplement.
  • Support peers and team leaders, and work collaboratively with other health professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
