FULL DESCRIPTION

NHS Adult Consultant Psychiatrist in Early Intervention in Psychosis EIP

Location: Romford, London, UK
Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (Pro-rata)
Contract: Substantive
Hours: Part-time: 5 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 3.5:1.5)
On-Call: Frequency 1:50, Category A - 3% on-call supplement (Pro-rata)

Qualifications Needed:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
  • Approved Clinician status or eligibility for it
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in, the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within multidisciplinary teams, providing care to individuals with first-onset psychosis and those at high risk of developing psychosis.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
  • Directly work with young adults and their families, liaising with other mental health providers and acute hospitals.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1:50 frequency), with a 3% Category A on-call supplement.
  • Develop strong links with local services and acute trusts to improve service delivery.
  • Support peer and team development while working on your own initiative.
