FULL DESCRIPTION
Manage financial strategy for UK and Swedish entities, drive production forecasting and reporting, and provide financial insights to stakeholders. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring accurate financial statements and compliance. Lead pricing and tendering strategy, and maximize R&D and tax credit opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial strategy for UK and Swedish entities, aligning performance with overarching business objectives.
- Help to drive production forecasting and reporting
- Reporting on financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive sustainable growth and enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes, providing clear and concise analysis to key stakeholders.
- Guide the organisation through cash flow resilience and bid strategy to safeguard stability.
- Lead pricing and tendering strategy, adapting to evolving market dynamics to maintain a strong competitive position.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all financial statements.
- Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audit coordination.
- Maximised R&D and tax credit opportunities in the UK and Sweden, ensuring full compliance while optimising financial returns.
What You Bring
- Professional accounting/finance qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA.
- 8+ years experience in a media, creative, advertising, entertainment, or digital content company, at senior level.
- Strong grasp of time-based revenue models (resources billed by the hour/day) and project-based work.
- High proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, P&L ownership, and cash‑flow management.
- Ability to act as a commercial partner to creative, production, marketing, and sales leaders—translating financial constraints into clear, collaborative solutions.
- Strong communication and storytelling with numbers: can present budgets, ROI, and scenarios clearly to non‑finance stakeholders and senior execs.
- Comfort in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, project‑heavy environments where priorities shift with campaigns, shows, or productions
- ‘Hands on’ approach. Prepared to get into the day-to-day weeds, while building systems and a team for growth.
- Tech-savvy - prepared to get under the hood of complex scheduling and resource management software.
