We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our commercial team as a Commercial Assistant / Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate Quantity Surveyor, a trainee QS, or someone looking to build a career in quantity surveying and commercial management.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our commercial team as a Commercial Assistant / Quantity Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate Quantity Surveyor, a trainee QS, or someone looking to build a career in quantity surveying and commercial management.

Whether you are at the start of your journey or already gaining early experience, we will provide full training, mentorship, and professional development to help you grow into a confident and capable QS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of valuations, cost reports, and tender documentation
  • Supporting commercial team with commercial administration across live projects
  • Measuring works and assisting with take-offs and cost analysis
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations
  • Helping monitor project budgets, costs, and variations
  • Supporting the team with contract administration and documentation
  • Learning to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and commercial requirements

  • A Quantity Surveying graduate
  • A Trainee QS
  • Someone with construction experience looking to train into a QS role
  • A motivated individual with strong numerical, analytical, or organisational skills

  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and basic IT systems
  • A proactive, positive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence (desirable, depending on project needs)
