FULL DESCRIPTION

Electrical Installation Assessor (Training Advisor)

Job Title: Electrical Installation Assessor
Type: Permanent
Location: Middlesbrough College
Hours: 37 hours per week

Role Summary

The Assessor is responsible for a caseload of learners participating in training. Assessors contribute to the design and delivery of learning programmes and assessments, to enable participants to successfully achieve their qualifications to include full Apprenticeship standards. Assessors liaise closely with employers and have a key role in developing learners to achieve their learning goals and inspiring them to overcome barriers.

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing a caseload of apprentices working towards NVQ & Apprenticeship Standards
  • Assessing knowledge, skills & behaviours (including Functional Skills)
  • Working closely with local employers to support learner progress
  • Conducting workplace reviews & health and safety checks
  • Supporting learners through to End Point Assessment
  • Helping grow and develop employer partnerships

Essential Requirements

  • Level 3 Electrical Installation
  • Qualified Electrician status
  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade 4/C or above)
  • Assessor/Teaching qualifications (or willingness to work towards)
  • Industry experience in commercial/industrial settings
  • A passion for developing others

You’ll need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as this role involves working across employer sites.
