Residential Support Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for passionate and dedicated Therapeutic Support Practitioner to join our team working in a Residential Care for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD) challenging behaviour and other Mental Health issues.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a passionate Therapeutic Support Practitioner to join our residential service supporting young people and adults (ages 16–31) with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD), mental health needs, and challenging behaviour. You’ll support individuals with day-to-day indoor and outdoor activities, help them build independence, and provide emotional and practical support during difficult moments. The role includes maintaining professional boundaries, safeguarding wellbeing, managing challenging and self-harming behaviours, assisting with personal care (including toileting and bathing), and accurately documenting activities, incidents, and any concerns in line with policies and guidance.

About You

You’re patient, resilient, reliable, and flexible, with strong values and a motivational approach. Experience in mental health is desirable, but what matters most is your willingness to learn and adapt—because every day can be different. You’ll be committed to delivering person-centred care, following procedures, and working as part of a team to help each person achieve their potential. This is a 24/7 service, with shifts typically 12–14 hours (starting at 9:00am), and may include sleep-ins and weekend cover.
